Pakjo Prison is one of institution for rehabilitation of criminal on Palembang. Its capacity around 530 people with 1.158 prisoners right now.

On 2010, there’ll a plan to move half of prisoners to Mata Merah Prison which is built on four hectares area. There’ll be 5 blocks with capacity around 800 prisoners.

This institution under juridiction of The Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Republic Indonesia under the control of General-Directorate of Community.
